New Partnership Brings iLivestock’s Farm Tech to Argentina
iLivestock signs an exclusive distribution agreement with VILLANUEVA, one of Argentina’s leading livestock technology distributors and strategic partner of MSD Animal Health. This partnership marks the official launch of iLivestock’s platform in Argentina, providing cattle and sheep farmers with data-driven tools to enhance productivity, animal health, and traceability, just as the country, home to over 53 million cattle, prepares to introduce compulsory EID tagging for cattle, buffalo, and deer starting 1 January 2026.
Based in Villa María, Córdoba, VILLANUEVA represents top livestock technology brands such as Allflex (animal identification) and SenseHub (dairy cattle monitoring). Under the new agreement, the company will exclusively distribute iLivestock’s smart farm management suite, including the eWeigh weigh indicator, eWeighBars HD load bars, and iLivestock Farm Software.
“We are proud to partner with VILLANUEVA to bring our technology to Argentina’s livestock industry,” said Ewen Wardman, CEO & Co-Founder of iLivestock. “This partnership gives local producers access to practical, scalable tools just as the sector begins its shift to individual animal identification.”
“This collaboration reinforces our commitment to bringing cutting-edge livestock solutions to Argentine producers,” said Ramiro Destefanis, CEO of VILLANUEVA. “By combining our local expertise with iLivestock’s proven technology, we’re helping the livestock sector take a meaningful step forward in traceability and farm management.”
The partnership combines iLivestock’s all-in-one platform with VILLANUEVA’s strong local presence and deep understanding of the Argentine livestock market. Both companies aim to help farmers transition confidently to digital management and individual animal identification.
The announcement follows Grupo VILLANUEVA’s participation at La Rural, Argentina’s premier agricultural and livestock show in Buenos Aires, where the company showcased its latest ag-tech innovations and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting producers with technology and expertise.
